This one might not look like an homage to Joan Mitchell or deKooning (minus the semi-misogynistic tendencies) or even early Philip Guston, but, trust us, those marks are lurking beneath the forms. Our base layer was one of blues, greens, and some yellows, and there are certain spots where you can still see it coming through.
